We had a good turnout for the Veterans' breakfast on Saturday 18th April and the raffle raised £165 for the charity. The next one is on the 19th September, see the link below. If you don't normally attend and would like to please drop an email to Sue The Treasurer.
The 2nd May saw a coach load making the journey to the hallowed turf of Twickenham for the annual Army v Navy rugby match. An exciting game saw the RN scoring a late try to come out eventual winners 41-36. Congratulations to the RN for their first back to back tri-service wins for 52 years.
Following on from the success of the previous two years, there will be another talk by local historian Ken Wright followed by a buffet lunch at the Old Edwardians Club on Saturday 6th June, cost £20.00 per head. See link for details.
The first briefing for the 2026 Remembrance Sunday Parade will be held in the ARC, Swinford Rd, Stourbridge ay 19.00 on Wednesday 17th June. all interested parties are welcome to attend.
There will be a skittles evening on Friday 10th July at The Queens Head on Enville Street starting at 19.00. The cost will be £15.00 per head, and this covers game time, a rather good buffet and prizes. This event is open to all, members, partners, families and friends to book a place please contact either myself, the treasurer or the secretary. Last year proved to be a very enjoyable evening, with The Booties, Bill and John, taking home first prize. Who can knock them off their pedestal?
