The Poppy Appeal is one of the nation's most recognised charity appeals. Every year the Royal British Legion sends out millions of poppies that are distributed to schools, shops and businesses. In November you will see some of the charity's voluntary collectors in your local town centre or supermarket with their tray of poppies.
Without volunteer collectors out there on the streets, without appeal organisers planning the collections, this great cause - that helps thousands of ex-Service men and women every year - would grind to a halt.
We urgently need to recruit more people, as many of our current volunteers are retiring from active duty. Add to this the ever increasing demand on the Legion's services and you can see we need your help more than ever.
POPPY PEOPLE The Royal British Legion is always in need of new volunteers to become Poppy People and help with Poppy Appeal collections across the County.
Without dedicated appeal organisers and our volunteer collectors, the Appeal, which helps thousands of ex-Service men and women every year, would never be the success it is!
We always need more people to come forward. Becoming a Poppy Person can be both rewarding and fun. You can collect in your work place, college, university, amongst your family and friends or even join with others at a local collection point - the choice is yours!
