Get Involved.

Since the start of the Invictus games in 2014 the Royal British Legion have funded the support team and families of the Team UK athletes. The athletes themselves were supported by another charity.

For the next games at Birmingham in 2027 the MOD have asked the Royal British Legion to fully fund the athletes as well as the support teams.

This request only came in September 2025 and because of the short notice all RBL Branches have been asked to assist by fund raising to meet the additional £26,000 per athlete costs.

With 60 competitors this amount to over £1.5m, these men and women are ex service personnel injured in recent conflicts, Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Ireland and so on. Injuries include both physical and psychological (PTSD) but they have the sheer guts and determination to compete internationally.

At the last games in 2025, Team UK won almost 40% of all medals let’s see if we can help them get more this time around in Birmingham.

Come on Greater London District let's get behind this. Start your branch fundraising now.
