The Branch welcomed Mike Skelly, Headteacher Westcliff High for Boys (WHSB), to talk about the Combined Cadet Force (CCF). He was accompanied by three of their CCF cadets, Evan, Toby and Sam.

Mr Skelly stated that they were very grateful for the opportunity to share the history of the School’s CCF, to reflect on the considerable value it brings to individual cadets and to the wider school community, and to discuss the important role the School’s CCF plays in serving both the local area and the nation more broadly.

He also conveyed his heartfelt thanks for the RBL’s generous donation to the School. This contribution will be used directly to support the ongoing work of the WHSB CCF Contingent. The Branch Members thoroughly enjoyed the informative talk.
