Kimbolton

Another Remembrance Sunday and once once blue skies, though it was a little cold for the airfield ceremony early on Sunday November 12th. Over 20 hardy souls paraded for the short thanksgiving service.

This was followed by a wonderful parade by the school CCF led by Sqn Ldr. Laura Hadden. Contingents from the Army, Navy and Air force marched smartly through the High Street led by over 40 Veterans of the Kimbolton Branch of the RBL. The names of the fallen were read out by RBL member John Hill while the Headmaster of Kimbolton School read out the names of the Old Kimboltonians who had given their lives for freedom.

The church was packed for the Remembrance  Sunday service. Afterwards the marchpast and salute was taken by the Guest of Honour, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Lady De Ramsey.

After the marchpast the headmaster opened the school to RBL members for drinks and canopes. Pa Navyarmy 2017A (4)
