Kimbolton

The funeral took place on Thursday 14 November 2019 of a long standing member of the Kimbolton Branch, Brian Trott.

Brian had served as a short service regular officer in the fifties as a member of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME). He had served in Libya and during the Suez crisis.

On leaving the service, Brian's career took him to 3M's where he served for many many years as a senior manager. At his funeral, one of his 3M colleagues spoke of his career and his managerial skills which were apparently second to none. To say that he was loved by all those who worked with him and for him is an understatement. In the RBL, Brian was an ever present at all our functions. He was a true gentleman. Brian was always laughing and great company and his presence will be missed by us all. Our sincere condolences to Pat, his wife and, as ill health struck, his carer.

After the crematorium service, attended by the RBL Standard bearer and a guard of honour, a memorial service was held at Kimbolton Parish Church where every seat was taken by those who remember him, admired him and knew him well.

God bless you Brian.
