The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

View our News & Events calendar for details of local Remembrance events.

The Branch holds a parade on Armistice Day each year, at the Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre in Sheffield, beginning at 10:45 AM, with the appropriate two-minutes silence at 11AM.

Individual Branch members are then free to take part in Remebrance Sunday events of their own choosing. Most popular is the Sheffield City Centre Parade which takes place in Barkers Pool, outside the City Hall. Visitors are very welcome to this event.
