REMEMBER TOGETHER

In 2019, The Royal British Legion will be highlighting another remarkable generation – The British Commonwealth and Allies who came together in 1944 to liberate Europe and the Far East.

The 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings were figured large in these proceedings. But we also observed the battles of Monte Cassino and

Kohima/Imphal – as well as later conflicts such as the 50th anniversary of operations in Northern Ireland, the longest campaign in British military history. Throughout, we will be asking people to “Remember Together,” acknowledging Britain’s debt to its friends and allies in preserving our values and way of life. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on:

Poppy People

We always need new volunteers - Poppy People - to assist with Poppy Appeal collecting in Surrey.

Without volunteer collectors and Poppy appeal organisers planning the collections through out the year, this vital cause - that helps tens of thousands of ex-Service men and women and their dependants every year - would not be possible.

Surrey urgently need to recruit more people as many of our current volunteers are retiring from active duty. Add to this the ever increasing demand on the Legion's services and you can see we need your help more than ever.

Please contact our Poppy Appeal Coordinator if you are interested in helping in anyway.
