A rededication ceremony in memory of
is to take place at
11.30am on Sunday September 16th 2012
in Brockley Cemetery, Lewisham, during which a new headstone will
be officially unveiled over his previously unmarked
grave.
Gunner Howard was present at the legendary Defence of
Rorke's Drift which took place in South Africa during the
Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, & representatives
of various service organisations and charities are expected to
attend. The ceremony will be followed by an informal reception, all
are welcome to attend.
