The annual Remembrance Sunday Parade, Wreath Laying Ceremony and Service of Remembrance are arranged for 3.30 pm and 4.00 pm respectively on Sunday 8th November 2026.
An open invitation is extended to anyone wishing to remember all who have made the supreme sacrifice whilst serving with our Armed Forces. This may have been during the World Wars of the myriad conflicts and wars since 1945, such as Malaya, Korea, Oman, Cyprus, Suez, Brunei, Aden, Borneo, Northern Ireland, Falklands, the Gulf War, Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan. Our sincere thanks to all those from across the community who come together to remember.
Grallagh Unionist Flute Band will be leading the parade and providing the musical accompaniment during the wreath laying ceremony, with the Buglers and Piper adding to the solemnity of the Act of Remembrance.
Our thank to the Reverend Ian Linton for agreeing to lead us in our Service of Remembrance and to the Vestry of Saint John's Parish Church for permitting the use of the church's meeting house.
Our thanks in advance to the Officers of the Police Service of Northern Ireland for their support before and during the parade.
Let us remember with solemn gratitude those from the Rathfriland area who made the supreme sacrifice for our freedom while serving with our Armed Forces.
"Lest we forget."
