In accordance with the Data Protection Act, the Royal British Legion Republic of Ireland holds no records of Service other than those of clients with whom we have dealt with in the last 7 years.

If you are researching a relative who served in the Armed Forces before 1922 these records are held in the Public Records Office in Kew, London. www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

You may be able to obtain more information if your relative was Killed In Action by looking at the Commonwealth War Graves website. www.cwgc.org 

If you are looking for Medal Entitlement you may find this at www.army.mod.uk and this link will also direct you if you are searching for records of relatives who served after 1922.

Royal Naval records are held separately and this link will take you to information on relatives who served in the RN. http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/.

Royal Air Forces records can be obtained through this link www.raf.mod.uk/links/contact.cfm.

You may also find this database http://www2.gov-reports.net/ helpful however there is a cost to search these records.
