Branch Community Support (BCS)

We encourage all our Branch and County Committees to support Branch Community Support in your local area.

Branch Community Support (BCS) aims to support Royal British Legion Branches to deliver a range of activities to meet the current and predicted future information, advice and support requirements of the Armed Forces Community.

BCS aims to assist those branches already doing this work, and build on the foundations they have already created in their local communities. It seeks to encourage and provide support to those branches who are not yet doing these activities, and widen the footprint of the Legion by assisting hard-to-reach individuals and tackling the problem of loneliness and isolation.

Branch Community Support falls under the following key activities:

  • Legion Awareness Events
  • Telephone Buddies
  • Home & Hospital Visitor Scheme
  • Bereavement Support
  • Local Touchpoints.

If you are a branch and want to be involved in this project, please contact your Membership Support Officer (MSO) for more information and to register. For contact details of your local RBL MSO.

To volunteer and be part of BCS, contact your local branch today for more information and consult the attached booklet below.
