Details of a brand new contact point, RBL Salisbury Touchpoint, have been released. 

 

New Royal British Legion Local Touchpoint Service in Salisbury

The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community - serving men and women, veterans, and their families offering support with Benefits, Debts & Money advice, Independent Living, Specialist Residential Care Homes, rehabilitation Centres, Family Breaks , Career Advice and a New Handy Van Service in Wiltshire,

Through the Branch Community Support Project Salisbury Branch are already providing a Visitors Programme, Telephone Buddy Services, Veteran Friendship Group and are with the marvellous cooperation of Tesco Metro in Castle Street Salisbury launching the first Branch Local Touch Point in Wiltshire.

The Local Touchpoint is a place where the Armed Forces Community and members of the community in Salisbury can come along to speak to the branches trained Information Volunteer – Ann Kadiri - to find about Royal British Legion Services, ask about local groups and find out more about Branch Community offerings for the Armed Forces and Veteran community in Salisbury.

This service will be run on the first Tuesday of every month inside the Tesco Metro Store from 10:00 – 12:00.

The Launch of the Local touch Point by the Salisbury Branch took place on Tuesday 8th August 2017 at 10:00 – 12:00.

This new service is being fully supported by Tesco’s Managers -  Phil Coughan and Tom Henstridge who will be providing refreshments on the day. The Salisbury Branch Information Volunteer Ann Kadiri and Royal British Legion Operations and Membership Staff will be on hand to answer any questions on the launch.

Veterans from the Branch’s new Friendship Group will also be attending the launch to speak about the difference new support in the community has made to them.
