The annual commemoration at Airmans Cross on Salisbury Plain took place on Saturday the 4th of November. A few photographs of the event can be seen below.

The memorial commemorates the site of an early military aviation accident on 5th July 1912, in which Capt Eustace Loraine and his passenger Staff Sgt Richard Wilson became the first members of the newly formed Royal Flying Corps to die while on duty. The service was led by Reverend Stéphane Javelle with Mike Swaby giving the Exortation and Maureen Hansford the Kohima Epitaph. Last Post and Reveille were played by Ben Matthias.

Wreaths were laid on Behalf of the RBL, Englisgh Heritage, Royal Artillery, Grenadier Guards and Royal Engineers.
