2021 Anzac Service

Message from the County Chairman ref Anzac Service on Cannock Chase.
As you will be aware, last year’s Anzac service was cancelled, due to the whole Country being in lockdown. Staffordshire County had hoped that they would be in a position this year to host a Service, but as you all know, we are still in lockdown.
The County Committee have looked at the current restrictions and the roadmap to come out of lockdown and have sadly come to the conclusion that, this year, again we cannot have the usual service as in previous years.
But we are pleased to say that there will be a Virtual 2021 Anzac Service that will be a short pre-recorded service. This virtual service will be put online on our County Facebook page on Anzac Day, in memory of all the sacrifices made.
ONE representative from the Staffordshire RBL County Committee will lay a Wreath on the day, adhering to and complying to all Covid guidelines and travel restrictions that are in place. This will be either broadcast live on Facebook, or filmed and broadcast later. There will be no Standard Bearers present, no dignitaries and no visitors, just the representative from County to lay a Wreath
We wish to remember this important day with respect and dignity.
Bob Copeland
Staffordshire County Chairman
