Poppy Appeal Launch 2014

The Annual Poppy Appeal tool place in Torrevieja on 15th October.  The parade commenced at  Plaza A Gomez, Paseo Juan Aparicio at 10.45 a.m. and finished at the stage of Hombre del Mar.

There were speaches from the Mayor of Torrevieja Eduardo Dolón, Vice Consul Lloyd Milen, District North Chairman, Nigel Hails and Poppy Appeal Co-ordinator Robin Hargrave.

The weather was warm and encouraged members of the public to come and see this spectacle.

The Parade was led by the Torrevieja Pipes and Drums, followed by the Standards of various Branches and of the local Military Organisation.  Two members of the Chelsea Pensioners also attended.
