At the Leeds Group meeting on Tuesday 6th June 2023, County Chair Ms Sally Court had the honour of presenting 2 Royal British Legion Members with awards.

National Lifetime Membership, which is the 2nd highest award of recognition in the RBL was awarded to Mrs Elsie Turner of Guiseley Branch in recognition of her outstanding service and dedication to the Guiseley Branch and the Poppy Appeal. Elsie has held numerous roles at Guiseley Branch since 1983 including Branch Secretary and Poppy Appeal Organiser. Elsie is a true example of Service not Self and is most deserving of this award.

County Chair Ms Sally Court, also presented a County Certificate of Appreciation to Mr Jeff Gantschuk ISM. 

Jeff had been nominated for this award by Guiseley Branch where he is Membership Secretary, in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication to the Branch.
