How was your town or village affected?

 

Memorials in towns and villages tell us what people felt at the time.

There are about 100 free-standing war memorials in the county and scores of other plaques, gates, panels and other kinds.  190 churches in the county have memorials, some have several.

Where a church and a war memorial are shown on the list below, the memorial is in addition to anything in the church. The list is incomplete - do tell us what is missing.
