Holger Danske Wreath Laying Ceremony 04 May 24

The Oxfordshire Ceremonial Team and Standard Bearers took part on the 04 May 24 at 2030hrs in the Holger Danske Wreath Laying Ceremony at Bladon Church and the grave of Sir Winston Churchill. The Holger Danske were a Danish Resistance Group during the Second World War. Well done to the Ceremonial Team for the making the arrangements and for the great turn out. This is a very special date and time commemorating the exact moment when Sir Winston gave thanks to all those in the Danish Resistance Movement who through their courage helped bring about the liberation of their country and the end of the war.
