Dromore remembers…

Standards of the Royal British Legion Women's Section and the Regimental Association of the Ulster Defence Regiment are lowered in salute.

Members of the public joined the Dromore Branch of the Royal British Legion, together with other regimental associations at their local War Memorial on Sunday, 30 July 2023 to honour the sacrifices from the Korean War of the Royal Ulster Rifles; the ‘Greenfinches’ from Dromore and across Northern Ireland for all that did for the Ulster Defence Regiment during our ‘Troubles’.

The Branch thanks everyone who attended especially, Mr Billy Plaxton, Mr Andrew Carlisle, Mr Jack Hamil, Mr Philip Morrision MBE BEM, Dromore Women's Section, Ms. Janet Ochiltree, Mrs Brenda Kirkland, Mr Geoff Wilson, and Ms Catherine Champion, who helped to make the afternoon a very special and poignant occasion.
