County Conference 2024

 

The 2024 Conference of The Royal British Legion Northamptonshire County took place on Saturday 20th January 2024 in the Council Chambers, Northampton.
Following a parade of the County and Branch Standards, Ian Byrnes, County Chairman welcomed the civic guests which included Deputy Lord Lieutenant AVM Christopher Luck MBE DL, Cllr John Shepherd Chair of West Northamptonshire Council, Cllr Barbara Jenny Chair of North Northamptonshire County, Cllr Stephen Hibbert Northampton Town Mayor and Father Oliver Coss County Chaplain RBL Northamptonshire.
Air Vice Marshal Luck presented a review of the Lieutenancy for 2023 and looked forward to the forthcoming events in 2024 (see Minutes below).

John Boisson RBL Trustee presented key areas from 2023 and concluded with the plans for the Legion for 2024 (see Minutes below)
 Mrs Kate Wildman, Head of RBL Audit & Compliance briefed Conference on the current issues which applied to Branch activities (see Minutes below)
 Mrs Jo-Anne Wilson updated Conference on the activities taking place at Galanos House and thanked County and branches for their support (see Minutes below)
The single motion to Conference was proposed by Mrs Lynne Baker, RBL Rushden Branch which was accepted by Conference delegates (full details in Minutes below)

Ms Faith Cosgrove was confirmed as Winner of the 2023 County Standard Bearer's Competition and appointed as County Standard Bearer
