Ventnor WW1 Commemoration Committee held a ceremony at Ventnor War Memorial Sunday, 30 July 2017 to mark the 100th anniversary of the loss of

• Pte Harold Loveridge 2nd/5th Bn Hampshire Regiment
• Pte Walter Nobbs 4th Bn Worcester Regiment

Relatives of Harold come over from the mainland for the service and one relative of Walter, who still lives on the Island, also attended.

Also attending was Cllr. Jason Mack, Ventnor Town Mayor, and Cllr Anthony Marvin, Ventnor Deputy Town Mayor.
