'Excused Drill'
Our Chairman Emeritus and Branch Treasurer (Noel Franklin) is not enjoying the best of health. Recently out of St Vincent's, he would welcome any visitors. We wish him all the very best.
New Members

County Wexford Remembrance Day Services – Sunday 12th November 2023

- St Mary's Church, Enniscorthy, 11.30 am

- Gorey Methodist Church (time not known as yet)
We need Branch wreath layers for Enniscorthy, New Ross, Bunclody, and perhaps Gorey Methodist Church. Anybody willing to do this duty and subject to the approval of the respective rectors, please get in touch with Roddy Bailey. Patrick Bradish will hopefully be at Wexford, Margaret, Madam O'Morchoe at Gorey Parish Church, and Roddy at Ferns Cathedral.
St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin – Remembrance Service, Sunday 12th November 2023
Once again, the RBL in the Republic of Ireland is attending the Remembrance Service at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin on Sunday 12th November 2023. The service will begin at 3.15 pm.
There are opportunities for members of the Legion to volunteer as stewards on the day. It will be helpful if stewards can be there from about 2 pm. Please let our Branch know if you can assist in this way.
Poppies & Wreaths
Poppies and wreaths for Remembrance Day (Sunday 12th November 2023) are held by Roddy Bailey and Noel Franklin. These will be distributed to Ferns Union and Gorey by Roddy Bailey. The Rectors of Enniscorthy, Bunclody, New Ross, Wexford, and perhaps Gorey Methodist Church are asked to contact Roddy or Noel (contact details below) for their poppy boxes and wreaths if desired.
Armed Forces Pension Scheme
If you have any questions about your pension or that of any service personnel known to you, please look at the Help and Support section on AFPS Issue 12.
Branch AGM
Our Branch AGM will be held at the Pitch & Putt, Enniscorthy on Sunday 26th November 2023 at 2.30 pm. If any member, friend, or supporter has any issues that need to be voiced, please get in touch with our Points of Contact — Roddy Bailey and/or Noel Franklin whose contact details are below. All are welcome, but please not that only full members of our RBL Branch are entitled to vote.
