Your County Needs You!

If you glance through the "County Officers and Welfare Staff" section on the "Contact us" page you will notice that the County has a number of key vacancies. We are very keen to fill these roles and we look to you, the Branch Members, to see if any of you would kindly volunteer. We know you're out there with the skills and experience to make a real difference and contribute to County Committee life! Alternatively you may know of someone, not yet a RBL member, but who would make an excellent Training Officer for example given a little encouragement from you.

The County Chairman and Committee are rather concerned that if these roles remain vacant the County will not be able to function correctly and we risk being absorbed into another county or become part of a district.

It is not within the remit of the County Committee to actively recruit members to fill these roles but rather it is the role of Branches to review the skills of their membership and put willing names forward. The future of the County ultimately depends on it and I'm sure the ardent supporters of the Royal British Legion in the County will not be found wanting.

I am assured by the County Chairman that the roles are not onerous and new online training will be available.

We need a County Community Support Representative, a Recruiting Officer and a Training Officer.

Please contact Andrew Smith (Membership Support Officer) using the contact details on the "Contact us" page or Barbara Leeson (County Chairman) on for further information.
