BRANCH COMMUNITY SUPPORT IS WHAT WE DO!

BCS is not new: it aims to support RBL Branches to deliver a range of activities necessary to meet the current and predicted future information, advice and support requirements of the Armed Forces Community. Branches are already undertaking this kind of activity and the concept of BCS is to encorage and support Branches and to assist in seeking out hard-to-reach individuals and tackle the problems of loneliness and isolation.

Key activities falling under BCS include (but are not limited to) Legion Awareness Events, Telephone Buddies, Home & Hospital Visitor Schemes, Bereavement Support and Local 'Touchpoints'.

If your Branch is not registered for BCS please contact Andy Smith (Membership Support Officer) asmith@britishlegion.org.uk who is able to provide further information and advice.
