The popular local Poppy Appeal Launch will be on Friday 25th October, 2019 in Bristol Parkway Station at 2 pm with local uniformed groups, cadets etc. and special guests.

The RBL has a Pop In Centre in 60 Union Street, Bristol, where people can call in for advice and information on the charity's support and community services.
The Branch celebrates its volunteers, and holds an annual Thank You dinner for its volunteers.
 
The Branch is very keen to recruit more people to knit it's famous knitted Poppies for the Poppy Appeal. The knitted Poppies are very popular and raise much money for the Poppy Appeal, and the Branch can't keep up with demand!! There is no pressure to knit a certain number, any amount you can do will greatly help.

Remembrance Services: -

The Stoke Gifford Remembrance Sunday service is held at the Memorial on the Green in North Road Stoke Gifford at 10.15 am on Sunday, the 
10th November 2019, this is a short service, an the Act of Remembrance takes place with the laying of wreaths and the 2 minutes silence.
   
  
Following this out door service St Micheal's Church, Stoke Gifford has their normal Remembrance Service in St Micheal's Church, North Road, Stoke Gifford.
The Baptist church in Rock Lane off North Road also has an 11 o'clock service, which members of the RBL, and others, can attend.

The Filton Remembrance Sunday Service will be held at St Peter’s Church, Filton. There will be a service in the church starting at 10am with a service at the War memorial in the church cemetery at 11am. There will also be a short service at the war memorial at 11am on Remembrance Day itself (Monday).
 
Alf Sollars from Patchway said - The Patchway Remembrance Parade will be on Sunday 17th November 2019.
Muster point for the start of the march will be at Patchway Parade next to Coniston Medical Practice BS34 5TF this will leave at 10.30 sharp, and pressed down Coniston Road to Scott Park BS34 5JR, early attendance is recommended at the muster point.
