UWE STUDENTS, SU CLUBS AND SOCIETIES - WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION POPPY APPEAL?

The Royal British Legion is a charity which spends £80 million a year on its welfare and support work.

Every year UWE students volunteer for the Stoke Gifford Branch of the Royal British Legion to help raise funds for the Poppy Appeal which runs annually from the 1st of October to the 30th September.

And during the Poppy Fortnight from late October to Remembrance Sunday in November the SG RBL puts poppies and tins in the UWE and SU buildings to collect for the Poppy Appeal. Students and Staff are always very generous.

Students volunteer for us during the Poppy Fortnight and at other times of the year. We give them Certificates of Appreciation.

The money raised for the Poppy Appeal goes to the RBL's Welfare Fund, which gives help and support to current and ex service personnel and their dependents.

Are you interested in helping the RBL raise money for the Poppy Appeal?

As well as helping the RBL during the Poppy Appeal fortnight and at events throughout the year you could help raise money in other ways.

You could do sponsored activities, sales or have other fundraising activities including sports matches.
