Knit and Natter ladies raise in excees of £1,200 for Poppy Appeal.

In July of this year the Knit and Natter Group at the Rifleman’s Arms won a competition to become Club of the month in a knitting magazine and their prize was £50. They used that £50 to buy red wool for poppies. In excess of 300 poppies were knitted and crocheted and were proud to announce that they had raised in excess of £1,200 which was presented to Dave Horsman of the Royal British Legion, Kendal, at lunchtime on Saturday 15 November. Incredibly well done to everyone who made and sold poppies this year, a fantastic result from a great group of ladies.
