Reelin "N" Rockin, formed after from the
break-up of "Dynamite", and is a band with a lot of
experience, the line-up is;
Front man & Lead vocals; Steve Turner.
Steve has been a singer for many years and recently
returned home from Malta where he sang professionally as a solo
act. Whilst the youngest in the band his music roots lie firmly in
Rock n Roll (a big Shakin Stevens fan). He works the audience
well and will have you singing along by the end of the
evening.
Lead Guitar; Bob
De-Banke. (ex Dynamite) Bob is an
excellent Lead guitarist, also provides backing vocals
& an occasional solo. Bob was a former member
of "COAST to COAST" who had a hit with "Do the
Huckle-Buck" in the early 70's, this
is sometimes included in the bands set lists. Bob went on to
be a formidable guitarist in "Johnny and the
Jailbirds".
Drums; Frank Angwin.
Frank joins the band with a history of experience, starting
out as many of his era did as a guitar and uke player in a 50's
skiff / rock band. He moved on to play drums and provided regular
backings to the stars including the "Vernons girls" and "Screaming
Lord Sutch". Through the mid 60's he joined a soul band playing a
sax whilst touring USA military bases.
The 80's was to see him return to drumming and amongst
backing many artists at the London Palladium including Bob
Monkhouse, and Isla St Clair, and devoting much playing to support
MENCAP, he also became Frank Ifield's drummer. Towards the end of
the 80's and into the 90's he toured with the Jerry Arheleger in
the St Louis Union band. Later he joined our Bob in a duo playing
Keyboards. Of course he also did his bit with his own trio on
Cruise ships, Butlin's, Panto's, and a variety of Musicals. Frank
is without doubt an asset to the band.
Bass guitar; Nick
Evans. Nick is a professional musician plays
a lovely bass guitar, has also worked the fret-board on
lead guitar & is equally happy to play Bach on
the cello, indicating Nick's wide taste of music
styles, but as a once time player with "Freddy fingers lee"
and the success of hits with Parlophone records, he suits
well the style for Reelin N Rockin. His other accomplishments
were with The Impressions 60's: Campbells Country 70's: System
80's and "The Wacky Backy Boogie band".
Rhythm guitar; John Bakewell.
(ex Dynamite) John plays rhythm guitar
& provides backing vocals. John formed Dynamite many years ago
taking the band eventually to play at the Congress Palace in Evian,
France (see pics. below).
- GIG VENUES as "Dynamite" previously included
the many well-established rock n roll clubs around Great Britain
and performances were alongside such stars as Mike Berry and
Craig Douglas. The band also played the Congress Palace in Evian
France.(see photo).
- The band now play mainly Pubs, Clubs, & Private
parties.
- THE MUSIC is from the 50`s and 60`s
covering early Rock n Roll hits & the Liverpool sound.
Instrumentals are included indulging the
audience in memories of such backing groups as
Cliff's "The Shadows".
