Witterings & Distict Branch Standard was carried at the private funeral in Pulborough of L/Cpl Jamie Brynin Intelligence Corps attached to 14th Signal Regiment (electronic warfare), shot dead whilst on patrol in Helmand Province.
Itchenor Remembrance Service.
Every Year, your branch attends this service of remembrance for the 601 LCM Flotilla who were lost on 21st July 1944.
D-Day 2014.
A kind donation to the Poppy Appeal, after the Itchenor Remembrance Service, from Mrs. Ava Kirby from Almodington, in memory of her recently deceased husband Lt. Dennis Kirby, a Sea Fury (Spitfire) pilot who flew his missions from an aircraft carrier during WWII, later to become a distinguished Diplomat with the Diplomatic Corps. Receiving the Cheque for £100 are Branch Chairman Jim Ellis & Branch Sec. & Poppy Appeal organiser Mike Hayes.
Sunday June 15...The Branch Legion & RNA standards were among 125 paraded at the dedication service by HRH Prince Micheal of Kent of the new Naval Services Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire
