Remembrance Sunday Service
The Remembrance Day Service service begins with homage at the War memorial and members should assemble to the left of the Memorial, with Branch Officers, visiting Officials and those laying wreaths in front. Member’s families, who are not part of the Legion, should stand close to the left hand gate so they can join members for the move into Church. The Branch will walk into the Church after the choir and clergy, followed by the standard bearers, the Officers and officials, members and the cubs and St John, who will be shown to their seats. Please be at the Memorial by 10.45 at the latest.
Remembrance Sunday Family Lunch
As usual this very popular lunch will be held in the Link after the Service and it is an excellent opportunity for members and their families to get together. There will be drinks first in the Olive Room, followed by a two course lunch and a glass or two of wine. Although the wine is covered by the Social Fund, those having lunch are asked to leave a donation to cover the cost of the two courses. A suggested sum would be £20 a head.
Please will members inform the Secretary in person, or on 01276 502123 in good time, or at the very latest by 31 October if they wish to come and who they will be bringing. We can take a maximum of 80 people and only those who contact the Secretary by 31 October can be accepted.
