VJ Celebrations

16 August 2015
A VJ Church Service will be held on Sunday 16 August at 1100hrs in St Paul's Walden Church  to commemorate VJ Day.

6 September 2015
A lunch will be held in the New Fellowship Hall, Whitwell, Hertfordshire to commemorate the ending of WWII.  All our welcome. Further details can be obtained from the Secretary Jan Burt.  

3 May 2015
A lunch was held to commemorate VE Day 70 years on - all monies raised went to the Poppy Appeal.

26 October 2014
A lunch was held to raise awareness and funds for the annual Poppy Appeal of the  Royal British Legion to use the monies to support ex-service men and women.  Further details can be obtained from the Secretary, Jan Burt.

A church service was held in St Paul's Walden Church to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1

24 May 2013 - A dinner will be held in the New Fellowship Hall at Whitwell commencing at 1930hrs to celebrate the Coronation of the Queen sixty years ago.

7 May 2010       V E Dinner - again a very successful dinner raising £300 from the raffle

18 July 2010     Big Lunch Day - the Legion had a "name the teddy" stall at the event raising an amazing £105
