Armistice Day Monday 11th November 2025

On completion of the service at the Yeovil War Memorial, a Wreath was placed on the Yeovil Memorial Plaque to The US Forces Billeted around Yeovil who left the town for D-Day in June 1944 by the President of the Yeovil & District Branch of the RBL.

"Erected by the people of Yeovil in Grateful Commemoration of the American Troops who were stationed in and around our town prior to D-Day Landings on 6th une 1944. Many of whom Sacrificed their lives for the Cause of Freedom".
