A Fun Day was held on Saturday 22nd May 2021 at The Feathers Bar in Monte Azul. This was the first event for the Torrevieja Branch in our Centenary year. The function was well attended with several events taking place.

A recruitment stall, manned by Gina Smith and Pamela Wilding, our Chairlady, proved to be quite a success and we attracted some new members.

There was also Petanque, Pig Racing, Bingo and a Raffle. Several members from The Feathers Petanque team attended and the Torrevieja Branch was represented by Torrevieja branch members and players from El Rancho, who kindly attended to take part in this friendly event which was enjoyed by all. The Petanque event was won by the Feathers team and the trophy was presented by Mrs Gillian Burden, our branch President. Well done and a big thank you to all who took part. 

This was followed by a Barbecue provided by Claire and Mike, the owners of The Feathers Bar; Pig Racing, Bingo and a Raffle which all helped to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal. 

We would like to thank everyone who attended the event for supporting the Royal British Legion, and everyone who arranged the events during the day.
