Battle of The Somme Commemoration on The Bowling Green

On Saturday 24th September at 15.00hrs at the United Reformed Church Cuttys Lane, a service with the Army cadets and the British Legion will be held to commemorate the Battle of the Somme followed by a buffet.
Sunday 2nd October Whitwell British Legion are holding their Branch Somme lunch in The New Fellowship Hall, Whitwell at £16.00 per person, there is a drinks reception at 12.30, followed by lunch which will be a Sunday roast with a dessert to follow plus wine at 13.00 hours, finish at 16.00 hours. names please to Richard.
