As part of her Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK, Her Majesty the Queen visited Burghley House in Stamford, where she enjoyed a picnic with around 8,000 people from Lincolnshire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.
We waited at the War Memorial in the glorious sunshine and you can see a collection of our photographs from the day below. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of HM The Queen as her car drove past us on Broad Street as it continued its mini tour of Stamford before heading to Corby.
