On the 14th March 2013, work started the refurbishment on the Ruddigton Village War Memorial. It is hoped the works will be completed by the 19th May 2013, to coincide with original dedication of the War Memorial on the 19th May 1923.

If the refurbishment works are completed in time, a short memorial is planned at 17.30 hours on the 19th May 2013.
