The Royal British Legion was founded in 1921. The key role of the Legion is Welfare for the ex-Service community and dependants. However, it is also a strong advocate for that community, ensuring everything possible is done to improve the lot of our serving and former Service personnel.

Here at Romford, we celebrated fifty years in Goodchild House in 2004. Local historians will be interested to learn that it was Mr Goodchild who built the Quadrant Arcade. Anyone who has ever shopped in the market will almost certainly have walked through the Quadrant Arcade which to this day, retains its art deco style.
