We're lucky to have so many dedicated volunteers in Redcar, who give their time and energy so generously to help us raise funds for our Armed Forces community.
But we always need more help, and new and fun ways to raise funds because our service personnel and their families continue to need our assistance.
The Poppy Appeal is at the core of our fundraising activity and the weeks surrounding the remembrance period are tremendously busy for all our volunteers, but we're also keen to suport activities throughout the year, 365 days a year.
We have raised money in plenty of ways, including charity football matches, our President 'swimming the channel' and when one of our members cycled from the Cenotaph in London, to Redcar in under 24 hours (Click here for more information). We're always happy to hear of any new ideas as every contribution helps.
If you would like to help raise funds for the Legion, here are some ideas that might spur you on.
Poppy Picnics - have fun in the Summer with your family, friends and local community, and at the same time help to raise funds for the British Legion.
Honour Events - sponsored walks, runs, swims and rides.
Challenge pack - dozens of ideas to help you to run your own event.
Anyone interested in helping in the next Poppy Appeal should contact our Poppy Appeal Coordinator by one of the ways described in Branch Information.
