Although we understand The Poynton Branch was initially established in 1926 by a group of ex servicemen who met in a hut that stood behind one of the shops on Park Lane we know little else.
The Club began life about 1948 on the present site in Georges Road West.
So if anyone has information and or photographs of these early dates we would be delighted to receive them and eventually post them on the web site.
