Previously, Club & Branch fees were collected as one, but things have changed a bit since last year following The Royal British Legion (TRBL London) decision to collect only their own £17.00 Branch Affiliation Fee.
Subscriptions are now be collected in two distinct and separate payments…
Royal British Legion Branch Affiliation Fees will be collected by the TRBL London.
As Branch Affiliation Subscriptions become due for renewal you will receive correspondence direct from the TRBL advising you how to renew them. Only you yourself can make this payment, which needs to be made direct to the RBL. It can no longer be handled by Poynton Legion Club.
Poynton Legion Club Subscriptions will be collected locally at the beginning of each year.
Your Club subscription is renewable on 1st January each year and lasts a calendar year. To use Club facilities and receive discounts at the bar you must renew before the end of January each year.
You must also ensure your £17.00 Branch membership does not lapse.

Paying in cash over the bar during opening hours. Please avoid busy periods.
Setting up a standing order at your bank for an annual payment of £10.00 - made payable to
RBS Poynton, Sort Code 16-28-23 - Account No. 10049811 - including the reference “your surname ”
Posting a cheque for £10.00, made payable to “Poynton Legion Club”, to the Club Steward at the Club address shown above.
Anyone using the club recently will have noticed that the cash till has been updated. The new system is able to identify customers and confirm they are bona fide Branch and Club members.
The first time your Club Membership is renewed you will be provided with a “Club Card” which needs to be presented whenever you make a discounted purchase. The card lasts throughout the lifetime of your membership.
It is not replaced each year. A charge will be made if we need to replace a lost card.
