Membership…
- Branch affiliation fees have not risen this year and remain at to £17.00. They had risen by £1.00 every year since 2010 when the rate was £11.00 a year.
- At year-end (30th June 2017), the Branch had 439 members, an increase of 3 over the previous year’s total of 436. During the year we lost 65, members many lapsing following the bulk renewal of October 2016 but we were fortunate to acquire 68 new members so producing the net annual gain of 3. Today we have 443 members.
- Yesterday (12th November 2017) 354 (80%) branch members have already renewed their 2018 affiliation fee, leaving just 89 still to pay
- Changes made last in the renewal process has settled down. Would anyone like further information re payment?
Remembrance…
- Yesterday’s remembrance parade went well and was very well attended along with route. This year we were pleased to receive The Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, David Briggs, M.B.E., K.St.J. along with his Wife.
- The refreshments, which were kindly funded by the Club and prepared by the Poynton WI, were superb and our thanks go to the Club, for the funds and the WI for the food and drinks.
- We must also thank our standard-bearer Glyn Derbyshire for his usual high standard during the remembrance parade, and his readiness and willingness to officiate at ceremonials and funerals.
