2023 saw some interesting Trips.

January

Quiz Night at the Dark horse restaurant.

February

Quiz Night on the 8th at the Dark Horse in Pinoso.,

A Menu del Dia at La Torre restaurant.

March

Third Quiz Night held at the Dark horse on 8 March.

Menu del Dia  at El Poli restaurant.

Coach trip to Chocolate factory in Villajoyosa.

April

Quiz Night held at the Dark Horse.

May

Quiz night at Dark Horse. 

A Coronation Lunch was held at El Cortijo by way of celebrating the coronation of HRH King Charles III.

A second coach trip was planned for 24 May but had to be postponed due to terrible rains!!

June

Venue change to Rincon Andaluz for the quiz night.

Coach trip due to be held on 24 May, eventually took place in June on the 9th. We went to Cartagena for the day, visiting the Cleopatra and Tutunkhamun exhibitions whilst they were being held there.

July

Quiz Night held at Rincon Andaluz. 

Coach trip to the MARQ museum in Alicante to view the Terracotta Warrior exhibition there (if any of you have NOT seen it yet, it is WELL worth it and is on until the end of January).

A second trip took place in July, on the 30th. This time we went to a bodega Florentina Perez near Albacete. We then had a superb lunch with wine and a chance to purchase said wines. We were then driven to the beautiful town of Alcala del Jucar for a couple of hours of rest after our exertions!

August – no events

September

Quiz Night at Rincon Andaluz.

21st Coach to visit La Zenia boulevard and then on to Torrevieja. 

October

Quiz transferred  to El Poli, along with a new format in that we held it in the day time and rather than a basket meal we had a full M del Dia, changing the title to the ‘Quiz del dia‘ !! 

November

Due to the timing of the event -the Feria de Todos Santos – the trip which would have taken place in October, was held over to 4 November. We went to the town of Cocentaina to visit an enormous town market.  This is another event which will be repeated, due to popular requests, in 2024 so make a note!!

The Remembrance Sunday service took place on 12th November, with the service starting at 12.15. Afterwards a lunch was held at Meson Tonet, starting at 13.45, as has been the custom in previous years.

Up coming Events

A second Quiz del Dia is planned for 23rd November and the menu for this has been sent out already.

A coach trip going to Benidorm Palace for the 9th December. The coach is all but full but I could squeeze 6 more persons on, so please contact me if you are interested .
