Again this year, in our 70th year as a Branch, the Pawlett Royal British Legion Branch held a Cheese & Wine evening for our local Poppy Collectors. The evening is not only an opportunity for the Collectors to meet each other, but is also a way for us to say "thank you" for all their efforts. We also use the evening to present any long-service awards that are due to our Collectors. Pawlett Branch covers several villages in the surrounding area for the Poppy Appeal collections, including East Huntspill, Puriton, Stetcholt and Woolavington.

Below are some pictures from presentations made at the 2017 evening, held at the Pawlett Royal British Legion Club in June. The Pawlett Poppy Appeal Organiser, Mr David Ridgway, made the presentations.

In addition to those presentations shown below, a 5 Year Certificate was presented separately to Miss Myra Cox of East Huntspill, a 15 Year Certificate to Mrs Mo Retford of Woolavington, and a 25 Year Certificate to Mrs Margaret Tompkins of Puriton, but unfortunately they could not attend the Cheese & Wine evening.
