The Branch were proud to host a short service to help the family of Private 21347 Christopher Jephcote mark the centenary of his death.
Christopher was a Nuneton man. He joined up in Spring 1915 assigned to the Royal Inniskilling Rgt (who may have been regrouping in the area and needed men) They were shortly deployed to Gallipol were Christopher is shown as KIA (killed In Action) at the battle known as Schimitar Hill. He was 20 years old.
The 21, August 2015 marked the Centenary of his death. Members of Christopher's family were present.
The short service was conducted by the Reverend Helga Cornell, Minister of Nuneaton United Reform Church.
