Although 'Remembrancetide' is the period in October/November that people associate with the Poppy Appeal, fundraising is carried out throughout the year with events such as Armed Forces day and by businesses and using all year tins to collect loose change from customers.

Poppy Appeal 2025

The people of Mansfield, in our opinion, are among the most generous in the country and donate thousands of pounds every year. When reported in December, the branch had raised a little over £54,000, but this will continue to grow and updates will be published when reported. A big 'Thank You' to all concerned.

Poppy Appeal Stands

This year our main stands were at:

    Tesco, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield.

We are very grateful to our small army of volunteers who have manned these positions (although equally split between both sexes), as well as the staff and management of the stores who have helped to make our job easier. We are always looking for more volunteers and if you are interested, please contact our Poppy Appeal Organiser (details below).

Collection Boxes

Many local businesses, organisations and schools also display collection boxes/ collecting tins for the Poppy Appeal, and this year 161 were distributed, greatly adding to the grand total.

We also managed to get a few volunteers and youth out street collecting however, sadly, it has been difficult getting complete youth group involvement due to other commitments and lack of adult supervision.
