The Mansfield Branch of what was The British Legion was first established on 9th October 1921. The British Legion was then granted 'Royal' status by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on it's 50th Anniversary in 1971.
Over the years the branch has remained active in Mansfield, being instrumental in advising and participating in Remembrance Sunday parades and other remembrance parades throughout the year.
In March 2025 the Mansfield, Bellamy branch amalgamated with this branch.
