Dear Members,

As I am sure the majority of you know, the Branch held a Coronation Dinner and dance at the Westin Dragonara Resort on Friday 5th May. The event was held under the patronage of The British High Commissioner H.E. Katherine Ward. The event was well attended by over 200 guests and we were kept well entertained by members of the AF Band throughout the evening. A lot of hard work went into organising this historical event and I want to echo my appreciation to those who contributed in one way or another to make it such a memorable occasion. We should indeed be very proud of our achievement as the Malta Branch of the Royal British Legion.

The highlight of the evening was achieved when the Chairman read out the Loyal toast to His Majesty the King, and the response that we received from Buckingham Palace. The response that was dated 5th April was actually received in the post on the date.

I am attaching copies of the correspondence together with some photos from the occasion for your files. History was made,
