Did you know.....?
Did you know that as a Legion Member you can now use the facilities of the Looe Social Club free of charge on production of you Royal British Legion Membership Card. This is not only for members of the Looe Branch but ANY member of the legion. If you are visiting our lovely town and wish to avail yourself of the excellent facilities that the social club has to offer then why not pop along. There is usually something going on there, the RBL meets on the first Monday of every month at 7:30PM in the bottom bar; and the club has a very active social calendar - check out the clubs facebook page [like it to receive updates] www.facebook.com/pages/Looe-Social-Club .
As an ex-service man/woman you are also able to use the facilites of the club on production of confirming identification.
Why is this possible....?
This is with thanks to the committe of the Looe Social Club for being very gracious in extending this caveat to club membership and rules concerning entrance and use. It also down to the efforts of the RBL club treasurer Mr Neil Playne in liasing with the committe to ensure that RBL members and Veterans can acceess a local social club with outstanding facilities, a very decent selection of ales at reasonable prices and an active entertainments schedule
A Cautionary Note...!
Just because you are a member of the RBL or a Veteran it doesn't automatically confer some kind extra special status upon you. The Royal British Legion in Looe has a very long standing and close relationship with the social club. As a visitor to the club you are expected to abide by the rules of membership and use, anyone abusing this trust will be dealt with accordingly. If you are a visiting legion member then well let your local branch know.
