2025 Liskeard RBL at Liskeard Carnival

A proud moment this evening on several fronts! Firstly, we pulled together and entered the Carnival as a joint effort to support our Liskeard Lions who organised it so well. We won Best Vintage car category and, importantly, the Humber coped with the stopping and starting and the twists and turns, superbly driven by Jim, of course. Chrissie and Wayne got soaked but did so well handing out our VJ event leaflets, raised money for the Lions, Churchill’s cigar didn’t get smoked (well done there Bill!) and Wendy and I waved at everyone as Clemmie and Miss Nel, his PA. The day Sir Winston arrived to thank Liskeard for its part in the war effort! Thanks to those members in the Club, who gave us a great welcome as we drove past. Good show all round.
